✂️ What You'll Need:

  • 2 house-shaped picture frames (Dollar Tree)
  • Red and black plaid napkin
  • Matte Mod Podge
  • Waverly Antique Wax
  • 9–10 Jenga-style blocks
  • Jumbo craft stick
  • Red acrylic paint
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun or Tacky glue
  • Grapevine star embellishments
  • Small faux flowers
  • Battery-operated candle or tea light

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prep the Frames
Start by removing the glass and backing from both house picture frames. You’ll just need the wooden shapes for this project.

2. Add a Cozy Window Covering
To give your candle house a warm, rustic touch, cover the back window area with a napkin or tissue paper I used a red and black plaid napkin. Cut it to size and apply it using Mod Podge to the inside of the frame.

3. Stain the Front
Darken the natural wood by brushing on or wiping on with a damp cloth Waverly Antique Wax. This adds a rich, farmhouse look to the front of the house.

4. Build the Base
Line up 7 Jenga-style blocks in a row to form the base. Glue the house frames to the outer edges of the base for stability.

5. Reinforce the Top
To help secure the tops of the houses, glue two to 4 more Jenga blocks inside near the roof peak. This adds extra support and keeps everything aligned.

6. Create the Roof
Cut a jumbo craft stick into smaller pieces for roof shingles. You may need to cut one in half to fit across the top properly. Paint each piece red before gluing them in place to complete the roofline. I painted mine Red.

7. Add Decorative Accents
Now the fun part—decorating! Add a grapevine star painted white above the window for that rustic flair. Then glue small faux flowers to each side of the house for a sweet, country touch.

Display & Enjoy

Insert a flameless candle or tea light inside and watch your rustic house glow with cozy charm. It’s perfect for a centerpiece, mantle display, or tiered tray!
