DIY Block Angel Tutorial | Rustic Wood Angel Decor

Bring charm and meaning to your space with this adorable DIY Block Angel—a rustic farmhouse-style decor piece perfect for gifting, decorating, or selling at craft fairs. Made with affordable items like Jenga blocks, wood hearts, and a touch of creativity, this angel is easy to customize for holidays, memorials, or year-round decor.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Stain or wax the wood pieces
Use antique wax or wood stain to color the Jenga block (body) and 1inch wood heart (feet). This gives a warm, rustic base.

2. Paint the wings
Paint two full wood hearts in your desired color. Red works beautifully for a festive or romantic touch.

3. Create the base
Glue the stained heart halves to the bottom of the Jenga block to form the angel’s feet.

4. Attach the head
Drill a small hole in the Jenga block and 1-inch wood ball. Secure with floral wire and tacky glue for extra strength.

5. Add the details
Glue a small wood heart to the front of the body. Attach the painted heart wings to the back.

6. Make the hair
Glue a tuft of Spanish moss to the top of the head. You can also use yarn, twine, or faux hair for different looks.

7. Accessorize
Add a small bow at the neck or in the hair for a sweet, finished look.

8. Create the halo
Wrap craft wire or a pipe cleaner into a circle for a halo. Secure to the top of the head using glue or by wrapping it into the moss.
